I was listening to Neil Cavuto, who often entertains me with his slightly vitriolic sarcasm about the state of our Union.  He tries to delicately balance his anger & disgust with the direction of our countrie’s finances, with his journalist integrity to report the facts.  While the information is generally disheartening, & sometimes downright depressing, he manages to get a laugh.  But it got me thinking about the looming April 15th tax day.  We all think we pay too much……but in my broad, general estimation, it’s only going to get worse from here. 

I did some research the other day. I found out, from the Bureau of Labor Statistics & the IRS.gov site, a few interesting facts:

1) FACT: We’ve got an average of 153 million folks working in this country to take home a paycheck;

2) FACT: Those 153 million wage earners bring home a TOTAL of approximately $8 trillion in wages, annually. Now, this isn’t NET pay (what’s left after taxes) this is the GROSS WAGES EARNED by all wage earners in the U.S. OH, and I might need to add that I’m being NICE to No-Bama with my calculations, because this 153 mil number does NOT take into account the astronomical unemployment numbers & recessed GDP. I’m trying to do the guy a solid……….

3) FACT: Obama’s budget, we’ll call it his annual operating budget for you busi-ness types, is approximately $3.8 trillion. (No, not a typo! $3.8 TRILLION ANNUALLY)

4) FACT: $3.8 trillion ÷ $8 trillion = 47.5% For those of you mathematically challenged, it means this: PRESIDENT OBAMA BELIEVES THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DESERVES TO COLLECT, AT A MINIMUM, 47.5% OF EVERY DOLLAR MADE IN THE U.S. ON A DAILY BASIS.

5) FACT: The top 1% of wage earners in the U.S. are responsible for paying approximately 40% of the total IRS tax revenues collected by the Federal Government (I’m rounding to make this an easier end-game for numbers-averse folks.)

6) FACT: The current top tax bracket that these top 1% (lucky bastards, a.k.a. LB’s) is currently 35%.

7) FACT: Obama is proposing to let the current tax “cuts” expire and this would force this highest tax bracket to 39.9%. (Wow, that sounds like a LOT!)

SUMMARY: If Obama is claiming that he’s going to raise only 1% of the wage earners’ taxes, to a rate of 39.9% (which is 7.6% less than the 47.5% he believes he deserves), this top 1% STILL only account for 40% of OVERALL REVENUES. Effectively, these top 1% would be paying for 15% of the overall necessary revenues that we would need to collect to meet that 47.5% of all gross wages earned, in order to SIMPLY BALANCE THE BUDGET!

HARD FACT: The remaining 85% of those necessary funds are going to come from EVERYONE ELSE. A.K.A. – YOU.

HARDEST FACT TO SWALLOW: THIS WOULD MEAN THAT WE WOULD NEED AN EFFECTIVE TAX RATE OF 40.3% ON THE REMAINING 99% OF AMERICANS IN ORDER FOR OBAMA TO COLLECT HIS IDEAL BUDGET COFFERS OF $3.8 TRILLION ANNUALLY. Again, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is just FEDERAL TAXES. This doesn’t include the State, property, sales and the newly proposed VAT taxes that you will also be required to pay. ……wow……we’re starting to look like Sweden’s tax rates?! What’s up with THAT? Oh…….wait……those are socialist countries……. weird.

Is this the kind of change you’re interested in contributing to?? NOT ME.

THE WORST PART?? THIS DOESN’T INCLUDE THE STIMULUS MONEY, INTEREST ON THE $11 TRILLION WE ALREADY OWE CHINA & JAPAN, OR THE HEALTHCARE $1.5 TRILLION PRICE TAG.

Are any of us surprised that Congress keeps TAX DAY as far apart on the calendar from ELECTION DAY?

Living in America, did you ever think you’d experience the invasive gov’t, big brother tactics that we’ve come to see in movies of Nazi Germany?? "Where’s your papers?!?"

Well, that is exactly what your gov’t is currently proposing, supported by Lindsay Graham (R-SC), the Republican Senator who also supports closing Guantanamo, moving terrorists to American soil, and Cap & Tax legislation. The tri-fecta of ridiculousness one has come to expect from a RINO REPUBLICAN.

Yes, it’s true. Lindsay Graham is working with Chuck Schumer (D-NY) (our first clue it’s a bad idea) to create amnesty legislation for the 10-15 million illegals currently in our country. The Obama Administration has vowed to count as many illegals as possible during the 2010 census, and has created Spanish-only marketing materials to specifically target them, so that they can receive representation in the House of Representatives. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. ILLEGAL ALIENS WILL RECEIVE A VOTE IN OUR GOV’T.

And it is further outrageous that our gov’t would treat the actual citizens like criminals. These national ID cards would require your personal information stored on a computer chip. This would include, at a minimum, YOUR FINGERPRINTS. Illegal search & seizure anyone???

Currently, the ObamaCare plans passed thru the House & Senate include national health insurance ID cards. These cards would be required to be tied to your personal financial accounts & information to allow for direct debit of your co-pays & deductibles immediately upon presentation at a doctors office, & to directly tie your benefits & the allowed procedures to your care. There has also been talk of keeping your medical records on these cards. And since the federal gov’t has already started the process of keeping every American’s medical records in a single storage house in Washington DC, for viewing by any medical professional in the country for "research" purposes (read comparative effectiveness research), nothing will be private. And keep in mind that this is MANDATORY. You will NOT be allowed to opt out of this, & keep your medical records private under ObamaCare.

Now, since every American citizen will be required to obtain health insurance at the demand of the federal gov’t, and every person will be required to connect their tax returns & financial information to their mandated, gov’t controlled health insurance, add in a 2010 census form that rivals the invasion of privacy experienced by teenagers at the hands of parents, coupling that with a national ID card in order to obtain a JOB…………and we’re looking at the single largest invasion of privacy of every law abiding American citizen. And the ability of the federal gov’t to track your every move in society.

And we all know how these power grabs of liberty end up: THEY ONLY GROW GROW GROW. Pretty soon these national ID cards will be required for voting. They will be used as ATM cards. They will be your national drivers license. You will no longer be able to travel between the states of the U.S. without your national ID card, to be produced on demand.

And do we REALLY think the criminals, who have been able to skirt Federal Authorities (minus Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio) for the past 50 years, won’t find a way around this? All the while the law abiding citizens of the United States are tagged & tracked like animals. And let’s not even CONSIDER what happens when there’s a COMPUTER GLITCH! Think the DMV on a bad day………..and THAT’s where you’ll be going to try & solve a mere "mix-up" with your data………

Those Law & Order shows where warrants are required to obtain your blood type or finger prints will be things of the past. ALL OF THAT INFORMATION WILL ALREADY BE IN THE HANDS OF THE FEDERAL GOV’T.

………but trust them when they tell you that the Patriot Act will be used to keep it confidential……….

Then add to the misgivings & COMPLETE LACK OF TRUST IN OUR GOV’T the fact that the current system the federal gov’t maintains, E-Verify, IS INACCURATE 54% OF THE TIME. Can you imagine how easy it would be to clear up your personal information with the Federal Gov’t???

And before we get mired down in "Hey, you’re just a conspiracy theorist"…… Remember when the Clinton’s were slapped on the wrist for obtaining, perusing and holding on to FBI files of American citizens that they had no right to review??

After watching the recent events that showcase the corruption in Washington, a national ID card tied to my personal information is the LAST thing I want my gov’t pursuing. And for Lindsay Graham to be complicit in this shows exactly where he needs to be: THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE.

Our federal gov’t has systematically been eroding our personal liberties & freedoms for far too long. Our consittution does not give them this authority. What happened to states’ rights?!? We need to take a stand. Call your Representatives & Senators today. And explain this issue to your friends & neighbors. We need to stop this ridiculousness NOW.

Most people don’t believe this, but I wasn’t involved in politics until February 15, 2009.  No kidding.  TRUE STORY.

I mean, I was absolutely MORTIFIED when Obama got elected.  I actually came home from work early to make sure I had a scotch, neat, ready and waiting for the inaugural speech.  I really did.  And it wasn’t because he’s half-black.  It was because, what little attention I WAS paying to the election, it was so very clear to me that this man was a socialist.  He spoke openly of redistribution of wealth thru socialized medicine and schemes like Cap & Trade, or as I like to call it, CAP & TAX-THE-CRAP-OUT-OF-US. 

He had these radical associations that really were quite scary.  And that whole business with not agreeing with a preacher who’s church he attended for more than 20 years, who married him, who baptized his kids……..Please.  It doesn’t take a genius.

I accepted that we had enough people asleep at the wheel to get this guy elected.  But I had faith in the American people that this would eventually be rectified.   THANK GOD WE HAVE TERM LIMITS ON PRESIDENTS!

But when the gears started moving after Obama took office, and quite quickly at that, I got inspired to take action.  When the stimulus bill was being jammed thru, with threats of martial law, utter chaos that would result in a complete breakdown of America………the scare tactics went TOO FAR.  I’m too smart. 

During the campaign I watched Obama’s carefully controlled media CIRCUS.  And it WAS a circus: a circus of slobbering, love-at-all-costs media PETS following him around, eating up his every word & edict like he was the Dahli Lhama.  Which he CLEARLY is not.  And at the same time the man absolutely REFUSED to engage in any debate whatsoever. 

Don’t get me wrong. John McCain was NO PRIZE.  He’s as liberal as a “conservative” can get.  Crap!  He even CALLS HIMSELF A PROGRESSIVE.  But he would have wiped the floor with Obama in a true debate.  And what I saw in the three required televised “debates” was NOT DEBATE.  It was a back & forth of “yes” then “NO”, then a “maybe” ……and a few eyes rolls, giggles……….AND EVERYONE WALKED AWAY DUMBER THAN WHEN THEY GOT THERE.   That is NOT debate. 

Debate is when you say something, and then the other side gets to CALL YOU ON THE LIES & EXAGGERATIONS & “MISTATEMENTS OF FACTS.”  Those of us included in the unwashed masses call them LIES, but politicians call them “mis-statements.”  …..uh HUH……..

When it became clear to me that Obama was using his campaign rhetoric to scare the American people into getting on board with a “bailout” scheme the likes of which this country could not have FATHOMED, I knew we were in trouble. 

When it became clear that Obama wasn’t going to take responsibility for his VERY LARGE ROLE in the housing failure, I knew we were in trouble.

When it became clear that Democrats were going to use the “blame Bush” game as long as it would hold out to ignorant Americans that didn’t have the time to check their facts, I knew we were in trouble.

Then I saw an email from a friend.   It said that we were under assault by our federal gov’t;  that they were forcing taxation without representation;  that we needed to stand up & remind our elected officials what they were elected to do:  REPRESENT THE PEOPLE!   It told me to send a tea bag in an envelope to Obama at his new address on Pennsylvania Avenue.   It told me that we needed to remind Obama that revolution in this country was started by far less than crippling debt, lies & stealing our money. 

I LOVED THE IDEA!  So I filled out a bunch of envelopes & went around my office making everyone put their name on a tea bag, and sent them off. 

THE TEA PARTY WAS BORN.  And I didn’t even know it!  …….but I knew I was excited.

I started hearing about online “tea party” organizations.  I started hearing about dates being floated on the internet where folks would be meeting locally & nationally to protest the SURGE in gov’t growth & the impending skyrocketing taxes that would be required to pay for it.  It was SO EXCITING!

The August recess came & went with a lot of fanfare.   The Tea Party Rally in Washington came & went with even MORE fanfare.   Folks were incensed that their gov’t was pushing thru massive legislation that would affect their lives in very personal ways.   These gov’t elites were trying to control our lights, our heaters, our cars, our DOCTOR VISITS!  They wanted to cut off our talk radio:  they said it wasn’t fair.  They wanted to raise our taxes to give money to Africa:  they said we were heating up the earth & Africa was suffering.  We should pay.   They said that we were spending too much on insurance & that we didn’t DESERVE IT:  it wasn’t fair.  We should pay less in premiums, MORE IN TAXES & OUT OF POCKET FEES, & then pay for someone else’s healthcare to boot.   Then they told us that we should pay for illegal aliens to have health insurance:  enter Joe Wilson.  “OBAMA, YOU LIE!”  That was a good one!

People were mad, and rightly so.

Then the media attacks on the “tea party movement” really got going.  Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the rest of them started calling us Nazi’s, astro-turf, & the time tested RACIST.  Joe Biden said it was our patriotic duty to pay higher taxes.  Nancy Pelosi said it was a mandate from GOD that we pay for young girls to get abortions.  And Obama said “HUH? There were protesters here this weekend?”  Yup.  HE REALLY DID.

But as the tea party movement grew, the lame-stream media (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, et al.) started covering it more.  They had a clear recognition that something was underfoot, things were changing, and this group of disgruntled Americans was gaining power to affect the “fundamental changing of America” that Obama & Washington Democrats were trying to shove thru.  They were scared.  They still are.

The lame-stream media immediately did everything they could to discredit the tea partiers. They started pointing out that the tea party was in “complete disarray”; that it was “unorganized.”    They highlighted the in-fighting between the primary, prominent “leadership”……what leadership was identifiable.

What they didn’t realize is that they were pinpointing the very reason that the tea party movement has been, and will continue to be, VERY, VERY SUCCESSFUL:  Conservatives.

Conservatives come in many shapes, colors, sizes & party affiliations.  But they have a common theme among them:  personal responsibility.  And what is the personality trait that most commonly comes in conjunction with a strong belief of personal responsibility??  INDEPENDENCE & STRONG WILL.

And what happens when you get INDEPENDENT, STRONG WILLED people together who all have a strong belief in their own PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to act?  A VERY LARGE ROOM FULL OF LEADERS.

The reason the tea party is succeeding by failing is due to the very type of individuals that it draws:  LEADERS.

Groups like ACORN work because one person can get several minions to do their bidding, no questions asked, no thoughts of their own, NO LEADERS, just followers.

The chaos of the tea party movement simply shows that this is a group of highly intelligent, incensed, critical thinking LEADERS.  And this is the SCARIEST part of what these liberals in Washington are watching right now.

A leader doesn’t give up.  A leader doesn’t compromise.  A leader gives his all for the good of the responsibility he feels he has been charged with.  And in this case, that responsibility is to his country & his countrymen. 

The tea party movement is succeeding by failing because it has awoken the quiet majority of LEADERS in this country who will not stop until they feel that their responsibility to bring their country back ‘round to what made her great is complete.  That’s just not a movement that the likes of SEIU or ACORN can generate.  And they know it.

This had me ROLLING on the floor.  WATCH IT!

Sanford Bishop has outlived his usefulness for the people of Georgia.  The allegations of corruption & nepotism, his voting records falling in line with Obama, Pelosi & Reid, have more than proven to the people of Georgia that his priorities lie not with the people he was elected to represent, but with his own self interests.

The Obama Administration is now pushing nuclear power, at a cost to the coal industry.  Obama would like to force costs of the coal industry to skyrocket: “As long as producing carbon pollution carries no costs, plants that burn fossil fuel will be more cost-effective than nuclear plants.”  Obama’s solution is to heavily tax these existing industries that are creating jobs for Georgians, put these coal workers on welfare, & then hope that they can be retrained for new nuclear facilities jobs some 5 years down the road…..because that’s how long it takes, at a minimum, to get one of these facilities up and running.  And in the mean time your electric bills, & the costs for all goods & services in Georgia, will ALSO skyrocket!  Obama said so himself!  But he believes that you should “sacrifice” skyrocketing energy prices for GLOBAL WARMING??  This is what Sanford Bishop supports?  WHERE ARE SANFORD BISHOP’S PRIORITIES?  Not with the people of Georgia!

Last year LS Power of New Jersey had to sue the very folks that are supporting this Cap & Tax bill that Sanford Bishop voted for.  LS Power is fighting to open up a coal plant in Georgia that would employ THOUSANDS of Georgians in a time when jobs are scarce & getting scarcer.  And our Representative voted for legislation to kill this job creating coal plant.  WHERE ARE SANFORD BISHOP’S PRIORITIES?  Not with the people of Georgia!

Sanford Bishop has been voting in lock step with Nancy Pelosi & her job killing agenda.  Sanford Bishop co-sponsored a bill that would remove the right of every hard working American to a SECRET BALLOT.  This legislation is lovingly called “CARD CHECK.” 

This Card Check legislation would allow the likes of SEIU (a heavy donor to the Bishop campaign) to bring in their thugs and stand over you while they watch you sign a ballot deciding whether or not you want FORCED SEIU DUES TAKEN OUT OF YOUR CHECK.  This kind of un-American intimidation is a complete outrage and a slap in the face to the good people of Georgia!  We should get to decide if we want a Union or not. We should get to decide whether forced dues are taken from our paychecks.  But we should NOT have to endure the thuggery of Union shills standing over us, intimidating our friends & family members, over what SHOULD be a private decision!  WHERE ARE SANFORD BISHOP’S PRIORITIES?  Not with the people of Georgia!

The people of Georgia have overwhelmingly rejected ObamaCare & the complete government takeover of our healthcare system that Sanford Bishop, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid are trying to cram down our throats!  Yet Sanford Bishop continues to say that regardless of what the good people of Georgia want he will move forward with supporting this monstrosity that will undoubtedly rob from the elderly thru Medicare, ration care, & raise costs for those 85% of us that currently have health insurance.    The Congressional Budget Office has even agreed with that assessment!  Yet Sanford Bishop continues to reject the will of his constituents.  WHERE ARE SANFORD BISHOP’S PRIORITIES?  Not with the people of Georgia!

It seems that Sanford Bishop is more concerned about special interests & lining the pockets of his family & friends than he is with what is best for the good people of Georgia.  Instead of creating jobs for the working people , or talking to the mine workers about how this will affect their jobs, Sanford Bishop is siding with the likes of SEIU to take away your basic right of a secret ballot.   WHERE ARE SANFORD BISHOP’S PRIORITIES?  Not with the people of Georgia!

Folks keep telling me I’ve got marriage on the brain (my boyfriend just proposed) but this has been brewing in my mind for quite some time. It actually started back when I saw all those crazies in Sacramento following the “Prop 8″ vote.

The Prop 8 initiative simply defined marriage as between a man & a woman. Nothing complicated. Real simple.   And even in a far left liberal-leaning state like California, it passed with 52% of the vote. Now, if you’re a LIBERAL, you’d consider that a landslide, a mandate even, right?? (Think 2008 presidential election, Obama v. McCain).

But not THOSE crazies. They considered it a travesty of justice, a complete farce & fraud, and demanded that it immediately be repealed. ???? If conservatives had known this was even a possibility we’d have been ALL OVER THAT after November 2008!

AnyWHO, while I was watching these very angry individuals dressed like boudoir dolls from Bourbon Street screaming about equality & carrying signs that said things like “don’t discriminate, gays deserve rights too!”, or “gay is the new black” (this one really confused me), I got to thinking: Is marriage truly a RIGHT?

Well, as a conservative the first place we would turn is the Constitution & Declaration of Independence. Didn’t find it there. You could stretch and try to apply “pursuit of happiness” but that would imply that you can’t be happy without marriage. Which is obviously a silly notion, because I’ve been deleriously happy for most of my 37 years and I’m not married (yet).

Since the constitution was written based on the inalienable rights endowed to us by our creator, I went to my second in line source: the Bible. The majority of our original 56 founding fathers were clergymen. When they said “our creator”, they meant GOD. I don’t care what ANY liberal tells you . THEY DID.

The Bible has quite a bit to say about marriage, most of which we all know. We’ve heard the irritating slogans of “Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve”, etc.  And while as a Christian I understand that religion condemns this sort of behavior, I also firmly believe that God teaches us not to judge, to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to let HIM be in charge of Judgement Day. So, instead of preaching, I decided to look at the HISTORY of marriage.

Marriage was originally a creation of ancient society as a means to: (most importantly) perpetuate the species; create a system of rules granting property rights; and to protect bloodlines.  Now, the whole bloodline thing is a little silly at this point, because our country is a TRUE melting pot of cultures, norms, languages and people of all colors. But the perpetuation of the species, and creating a legal framework by which to easily transfer property are still determinant on the traditional family structure.

Hebrew law mandated that a man marry his brother’s widow. And marriages were arranged until the twelfth century Troubadors introduced the concept of “romantic love” as a means to an end in creating the union of marriage.  But the marriages were still seen as a union sanctified by the religion of the region, & was used to track ancestral family names & identify clans.  In the majority of clans of Babylonian & Mesopotamian eras, the husband was not allowed to take a second wife unless his first wife proved infertile.   This obviously goes back to the perpetuation of the species and bloodline.

When anthropologists study the history of man they find many instances of “marriages” of individuals represented, predating government control of the individual.   And these “marriage” rituals were considered RITES, not RIGHTS, & were facilitated between the families affected or involved,  NOT any centralized control or gov’t.  Even today, when remote villages & cultures are discovered they are almost always found to have a “marriage” ceremony of religious nature that brings a man & a woman together in the tribe or clan. Obviously THESE folks aren’t getting a blood test, permit or license from their local magistrate.

Now, if you think about this a moment, you’d begin to see my conclusion that marriage existed far before formal governments.   And as a religious rite, or sacrament, it was a function of the ceremony to unite two people in the eyes of the community, “church” and families, NOT THE GOV’T.   Yet, at some point, the gov’t saw fit to get involved in this religious ceremony.  They saw an opportunity to create laws to regulate this religious ceremony (you can’t marry blood relatives, etc), and ultimately to profit from it (marriage licenses are required & NOT FREE, not to mention the extra taxes!).

Now if you’re hearing that whole “separation of Church & State” mantra from the lefties, you’re on the right track.   Because keep in mind that most states require an ordained minister or a magistrate to marry you. And there are VOWS that are required, and WITNESSES; those folks from your tribe or clan that support you in this union!   Even after the gov’t got involved the legacy of religion remains.

Our colonies were regulating marriages when they came over from England, brought from the Common Law procedures of our Founding Fathers.   And despite what the liberal lefties would like for you to believe, it seems that God, at this point, is so entrenched in our country, our government and her people, that it will be virtually impossible to extracate him.   And I’m okay with that.

Marriage is a religious RITE, not a RIGHT.   And if the liberal left, gays & lesbians would recognize this FACT, because that’s what it is, perhaps they would be able to move away from the offensive, contensious assault on the Christian way of life, our country’s history & founding, and focus on a solution that works for them.

How about  a solution like CIVIL UNIONS; a recognized union of two people committed to each other, which gives them legal options under certain limited circumstances (like married couples) without a complicated legal contract for evey aspect of their relationship.   It’s like a stamp that allows a letter to be sent from Paduka, Kentucky, to Bangladesh, India, without needing a special new stamp at every stop along the way.   And let’s not forget that lovely extra “marriage tax” that results from our crappy progressive tax structure!  They need to get ALL of the “benefits”……not just the fun ones. 

But by all means, while you’re standing on a street corner trying to bite off a conservative’s finger screaming about how you want respect, why don’t you consider the very genuine reality that Christian married folks want the same thing: RESPECT.   We want respect for our tradition, our beliefs and our marriage union.   You don’t call yourself a HETEROSEXUAL, why call yourselves a MARRIED couple?

Let’s bring that respect request full-circle, & recognize that marriage is a religious RITE between a man & a woman, not a RIGHT as allowed by our system of laws, and instead let’s focus on an acceptable solution that accomplishes the true goal without dessimating a long history of tradition, while allowing two committed individuals to enjoy the same legal (and TAX!) advantages.

The safety of America vs. Liberal love of BIG LABOR. REALLY?!?

After eleven months of waffling, Obama has nominated someone for the important position of chief of the Transportation Security Administration. His name is Erroll Southers. He’s black & on board with the socializing of America……..so this makes him qualified for…………. Hmmm……… apparently a top position in our Federal Government’s security forces.

Even more disturbing than his lack of qualifications to keep America safe, is the very clear agenda that Mr. Southers brings to the TSA: HE WANTS TO UNIONIZE TSA AIRPORT SCREENERS.

Even after the the myriad of failures within the TSA, Obam believes squarely that Unionizing the gov’t employees of the TSA will somehow BENEFIT the current situation.  THIS NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT TO BEAR! 

There is only ONE SENATOR that is taking a stand against this nominee: Jim DeMint (R-SC). DeMint’s spokesman, Wes Denton, told Politico that the agency is better off without a permanent leader than with unions running the nation’s airports. AND HE’S RIGHT.

We need to call & write every Senator today & let them know THE SAFETY OF OUR COUNTRY NEEDS TO RISE ABOVE PARTISAN LIBERAL POLITICS! We’ve seen what a Union can do. Just take a look at GM & Chrysler. Do we really want that kind of toxic environment bleeding into the safety of our nation?? NO! Call & write today!

On this glorious day celebrating Obama’s exodus to Copenhagen to auction off as much of American’s wealth as he can to the highest global bidder, I thought I’d break down the story of “Cap & Tax.” 

If you don’t know who George Soros is, you need to.  He’s one of the richest men IN THE WORLD.  He’s also the figure head of the environmental, go-green movement…..HUGE tree humper.  He was the founder of Center for American Progress.  There are multiple off shoots, most of them political activist groups; such great organizations as MOVEON.org.  Heard of them???  THEY GOT BARACK OBAMA ELECTED.  And how about the Secretary Of State Project?  This is a group he funds to ensure that liberals are seated in the most powerful position to support his VOTER FRAUD AGENDA.  Surprising, right?!  ..not so much.

Just on the heels of Obama(S)care will be the much talked about “Cap & Trade”, lovingly known to us fiscal conservatives as Cap & Tax-the-Crap-Out-Of-Americans.

The premise behind this legislation is to put a cap on the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) that any one person or corporation can emit.  Then creating a “stock exchange” for environmental credits for these units of CO2.  The gov’t will auction these credits off.  Guess how much money they think they’ll get from this??  Just GUESS! ………okay, I’ll tell you:  $860 BILLION.  That’s as much as the healthcare legislation.  So take that monstrosity of healthcare, and then DOUBLE IT.   That’s $3.5 trillion of Americans’ dollars (minimum) being sucked out of our economy and sent to the gov’t.  When they say “redistribute wealth”, boy they’re not messing around!

Environmental activists keep telling us that CO2, that stuff you breath out of your mouth  & that neat stuff that is the “bubble” of champagne, is the cause of “global warming.”  Most recently, though, the group that started this fallacy of “warming” claimed that they could not produce the original raw data that the research paper was based on, because they DELETED IT.  They actually had the audacity to claim that they didn’t have the hard drive space to keep it.  NO REALLY. THEY DID.  (**UPDATE** These same folks who refused to release the data had their servers broken into, & someone posted their emails all over the internet, showing that they were manipulating the data, & refusing to release it because of that exact reason.  NICE.)

As a result Democrats have had to shift their language a bit.  Now it’s “global climate change.”  (reminds me of “healthcare” vs. “insurance” reform…..)  Mostly because it has been discovered that since 1998, the past ELEVEN YEARS, THE EARTH HAS ACTUALLY BEEN COOLING.  Wow.  Imagine that.

So these folks that were originally stumping for cap & tax to save the world from heating up and killing everybody, are now saying that ANY and ALL climate changes are bad and we’ll all still die if we don’t do something.  Keep in mind, of course, that they still can’t prove that any climate change is even MAN MADE, let alone by CO2.  The current estimates say that “man made” CO2 ranges anywhere from 2% to 5% of the CO2 produced in the world.  Most of it, 95%, is produced NOT by man, but rather nature.  So if we all stopped breathing, living, moving & being productive, the most we could hope for would be a 5% reduction world wide!  And OBamallama is trying to commit us to 17% ??  He must be using the same math that he used when counting all those fake jobs his “stimulus” saved……….But I digress!

This cap & tax scheme dreamed up by Democrats would attempt to put high taxes on anything that DOES emit CO2 (btw: since you’re part of the problem the EPA would technically have a legal right to control your every movement…literally).  So any manufacturing of any kind that uses energy (because all forms of energy currently used in the U.S. produce CO2) would have their costs of business increase significantly.  And we all know what THAT means!  THE COSTS OF GOODS & SERVICES WOULD INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY.

Obama himself said that “electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”  And this was even during the campaign.  What the HELL were people thinking??  …………. Does this sound like a good idea to YOU?! 

You’ll be getting taxed by your federal gov’t every time you turn on a light, or the TV, or use the phone!  And if you’re getting taxed, you know that businesses are getting taxed even MORE.  Which means the costs of goods & services are going to “necessarily skyrocket” as well.  Add the healthcare taxes, the “value added tax”, or federal sales tax that Obama & Pelosi want to enact, and we’re talking about seeing some serious hikes in the costs we’ll see on everything!  …….add to that the looming inflation that Obama is causing and our quality of life is going to just plain SUCK.  Obama, you lie!  ( I love saying that! )

Now, the premise of these nuts is that if we tax folks, that we can use that money collected from those taxes to invest in “green” energy, more recently referenced as “green jobs.”  Keep in mind, that when Spain instituted a similar cap & trade system in their country, it killed their economy, jobless rates SOARED into double digits, AND THIS WAS BEFORE THE RECESSION! 

Spain actually did a pretty lengthy, in-depth report on the destruction to their economy that this cap & tax system caused in their country.  It was devastating.  They have been working on a Cap & Tax system for more than 10 years. And guess what?? THEY SAY IT DOESN’T WORK. They also pointed to this report and told Obama DON’T DO IT IN AMERICA.   Because it will force the loss of 11 million jobs in America, and that’s IF it CREATES the 3 million he claims!   Check out Page 7.   Their report details how each “green job” cost over $1 million to create, and for each one that WAS created most were temporary.  But the really scary finding was that for every 1 “green job” (temporary or otherwise) 2.5 private sector jobs were lost.  They’re unemployment rate is in the 20% range right now.  Wow.  Keep in mind that DemoTards Cap & Tax scheme looks EERILY similar to Spains………….

This mere fact of massive job losses, which wouldn’t be hard to deduce even WITHOUT Spain as an example, might be why the Cap & Tax legislation includes an entirely new welfare entitlement for the massive amounts of Americans who are going to lose their jobs as a result of this legislation.  NO KIDDING.  IT REALLY SAYS THAT.  Read Part 2, Section 312, S.1733

These Democrats want to tax our very way of life, stop drilling for oil, put the coal industry COMPLETELY OUT OF BUSINESS (say goodbye to states like Kentucky) and redistribute all those HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of tax dollars….to……WHO??  TO THEIR LIBERAL FRIENDS & THIRD WORLD DICTATORS!  Just today Hillary Clinton told the U.N. that we’d committ to $100,000 MILLION.  Otherwise known as $100 BILLION.  I’d say a better idea might be to give them a healthy dose of our democracy, freedom & second amendment!  : )

BUT IT GETS WORSE

Remember that “stock market for carbon” that I talked about??  Barack Obama has a financial interest in the Chicago Carbon Exchange, also known as Chicago Climate Exchange.  He was one of the founding board members.  This is the equivalent of the New York Stock exchange, except instead of trading stocks, this would trade “carbon credits.”  It would be where you could buy and sell your “carbon” tickets that would allow you to emit carbon, aka – would allow you to use energy. 

The Chicago Carbon Exchange is actually a FOREIGN OWNED company, with the third largest stakeholder being….drum roll please…….GOLDMAN SACHS!  I know, you’re shocked.

You know who they are!  They’re the bank that Obama said was too big to fail.  They’re also the bank where he skimmed all of his economic cabinet posts.  That’s right!  All of Obama’s financial & economic advisors came from GOLDMAN SACHS.  This company received tens of billions of tax payer dollars, and now they are THRIVING again.  MAKING BILLIONS MORE.  And do we get any of that?? NOPE.  Just Obama’s friends do.

This Chicago Carbon Exchange has been created with BILLIONS of investment dollars from this foreign company and Goldman Sachs.  But guess how much their investment is worth?? 

NOTHING………UNLESS CAP & TRADE LEGISLATION PASSES.  THEN IT’S A NEVER ENDING COFFER OF TAX PAYER DOLLARS GENERATED FROM THE CAP & TAX SCHEME OF THE DEMOCRATS!

This legislation would also raise the cost of fossil fuels to astronomical levels in the U.S., levels that would rival Europe’s.  It puts a halt to any additional nuclear plant construction (THE CLEANEST FORM OF ENERGY IN THE WORLD TODAY), and redirects your tax dollars to invest in the development of solar & wind.  Do you know that currently these two sciences are barely holding on to double digit efficiencies?? And I ain’t talkin’ about HIGH ones:  35% to 40% MAX.  And did you ALSO know that the energy generated by these two sources CANNOT BE STORED.

I won’t go into the physics of it (I’m an engineer), but trust me.  The only way to “store” wind & solar energy is in a battery.  And with the number and size of batteries that would be required to power just one home, HAVEN’T WE DEFEATED THE PURPOSE OF BEING ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY??

Now, since these alternative “green” sources of power will be sucking up our monetary resources, without providing the necessary energy to run this country, oil & gas prices will SOAR.  And since this bill also puts further restrictions on any further exploration or drilling FOR THE U.S., we will be FORCED TO BUY OIL FROM OTHER COUNTRIES.  Add to that the recent development that the middle eastern OPEC nations are, for the first time ever, dropping the dollar as the measure of value of oil.  Yup.  Obama has seriously devalued our currency THAT FAR.  OPEC is creating a new currency that oil will be sold under.  I can just imagine what THAT exchange rate is going to look like………..

Now, doesn’t this seem to defeat the purposes of reducing “dependence on foreign oil??”

Additionally, did you know that Obama gave $2 billion in tax payer dollars for off-shore oil drilling recently??  Yup, he sure did!   It was part of that now infamous “stimulus” bill.  ……wonder how many jobs it created…….

………..in BRAZIL!   

You heard me.  He is disallowing us from seeking our OWN resources, but he’s giving BILLIONS to foreign countries to find oil that they can sell to US!  WOOPPPEEE.  Which is weird, right, considering the U.S. is the single largest clearinghouse of energy resources…….. 

Now, this isn’t just ANY oil company.  It’s a state run oil company of Brazil.  One that just happens to have foreign investors…….Foreign investors like GEORGE SOROS (remember him)!  THE VERY SAME MAN PUSHING FOR CAP & TAX LEGISLATION IN THE UNITED STATES!

Do you think ANY of this is a coincidence??? 

IF ANYONE TELLS YOU THAT THIS GREEN MOVEMENT IS GOING TO SAVE YOU MONEY LONG TERM……THEY’RE LYING OR THEY’RE IGNORANT OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION & FACILITIES CONSTRUCTION.

The entire world economy would have to be LITERALLY halted to meet the environmentalists’ movement of “reducing greenhouse gasses” as a way to stop “global warming”………..which ISN’T EVEN HAPPENING.  And that’s WITHOUT the fiasco of “climate-gate” that recently popped up.  That helped seal the deal for a lot of folks, but most knew it was crap to begin with.  

Most of this ridiculousness is driven by the United Nations.  I’m not sure that there needs to be further explanation, right??   Because everyone knows that those fools can’t manage a 2^nd grade Valentine’s Day party, let alone a global initiative.  But that’s exactly what they’re proposing.  The U.N.’s vision of “climate change” includes Americans giving up their sovereignty to be governed by a group of dictatorial third world terrorists.  Ya’.  That seems plausible.  Think PITCHFORKS & MUSKETS.  Ain’t happenin’.  

If you pay taxes, and only 60% of Americans do irritatingly enough, your taxes will most DEFINITELY go up, and this is why:  for those of us that are already paying, it’s easy to “raise” ours, but you lose an entire sector of “entitlement mentality” voters if you BROADEN OUT the taxpayer rolls, so dems don’t want to do THAT, GOD FORBID.  And since ALL ENERGY costs are going to SKYROCKET (Obama’s words, not mine) someone will have to pay.  And the 60% of us paying will be required to REDISTRIBUTE OUR INCOME TO THOSE FOLKS WHO “CAN’T HANDLE” THE ENERGY COST INCREASE.  Seeing a theme yet??  A provision of this bill will add an additional tax to YOUR MONTHLY ELECTRIC BILL (on top of the already exorbitant new rates) so that the gov’t can take that money and give it to someone on welfare who won’t be able to afford their own electric bill because of these aforementioned “skyrocketing” costs.  Nice, right?

Now, if all of that didn’t convince you, listen to these two neat folks.  They’re lawyers for the EPA that live in California, AND THEY THINK CAP & TAX IS CRAP.  Obama was having a bad day when THIS his YouTube…………..

I’m quite certain that this will be a fiasco on the level of ObamaCare, so contact your legislators and give them a heads up:  AMERICANS AREN’T TAKING THE BULL$HIT ANYMORE.

No insurance now?  Well, you’ll get insurance……you’ll just have to give up FOOD TO GET IT!  These are stories we USED to hear on the news from the liberal left “increase coverage for the elderly!  They’re dying from hunger and/or high medical costs!”  Um……Why?  Because apparently MEDICARE IS AWESOME!  And expanding it so going to be a GOOD THING for even MORE people.  Keeping in mind that they think they can take $500 BILLION OUT OF IT WHILE ADDING MILLIONS OF PATIENTS INTO IT!
